CRG Homecare’s Prescot branch has launched a new initiative to help their service users when they return how from hospital.
The branch has created ‘return to home kits’ for service users who have returned home from hospital and don’t have essential items in their home.
Our care staff have been donating items such as sponges, toothpaste, toothbrushes and soap to include in the kits.
Ann Marie, Prescot Homecare Branch Manager explained: “Our care workers have recognised the needs of our service users and I’m amazed at the amount of donations we have received so far.
“Our service users are so grateful when our care workers take the kits to their homes – it’s lovely to put a smile on their faces.”
The branch is also handing out winter guides to our service users to help them stay warm this winter. The guide also includes a thermometer so the room temperature can be checked accurately by the care workers.
This initiative is part of CRG Homecare’s commitment to the Dignity Challenge, to ensure compassion and dignity is at the heart of our care service.
