The Department of Health and Social care (DHSC) has announced that all candidates undertaking CQC regulated activities in England must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no later than the 1st April 2022. The regulations will apply equally across the public (NHS) and independent health sector. This means in order to meet the requirements of the legislative changes; all candidates will be required to have an initial dose of the vaccine on or before Thursday the 3rd February 2022.
Over the next few weeks, we will be contacting you to ascertain your vaccination status and support those who are yet to have the vaccination.
To be vaccinated in time for the deadline the initial dose must be given on or before Thursday the 3rd February 2022.

If you have not received the first vaccine by 3rd February 2022, your current or future placements will be impacted unless a medical exemption applies.
Proving your vaccination status:
If you live in England, you can use the NHS COVID Pass to prove your COVID-19 status. The NHS COVID Pass provides valid proof of your COVID-19 status based on your COVID-19 vaccination details, medical exemption or clinical trial participation.
The NHS App can be downloaded onto your smartphone from the App Store on your IOS (iPhone) phone or from Google Play if you have an Android phone. After you have downloaded the NHS App please follow the on-screen instructions in order to register.

You can view your NHS COVID Pass online and download or print it as a PDF document. Please visit https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/covid-pass/ In addition you can ask for an NHS COVID Pass letter to be sent to your home address, please allow 5 days for this to be sent to you.
If you do not have access to the internet, you can call 119 and ask for the an NHS COVID Pass letter to be sent to your home address which as above can take up to 5 days.
